Vivo X80 series to launch in India tomorrow: What we know so far – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Vivo is all set to launch its flagship smartphones series in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Vivo X80 series of smartphones on May 18 in the country. The company has scheduled an online launch event where it will unveil the new smartphones.
How many smartphones will Vivo launch
Vivo is expected to launch two smartphones at its event scheduled for May 18 at 12pm. These include Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80.

No, Vivo will only be launching its two smartphones at the event.
Will the two phones run on the same processor
No, likely to be the most expensive, the Vivo X80 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Whereas, the Vivo X80 will be powered by MediaTek Dimesnity 9000 chipset.
What are the specifications of Vivo X80 Pro
Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution.
The display offers 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs the Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of OriginOS on top.
As mentioned above Vivo X80 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 256GB and 512GB.
The dual SIM Vivo X80 Pro features a quad rear camera powered by Zeiss optics. The smartphone camera comprises of 50MP main camera with the first Samsung GNV sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle, a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait and an 8MP 5X periscope telephoto camera. The front is home to a 32MP selfie shooter. Vivo X80 Pro also comes with the company’s own V1+ custom chip which claims to offer better and bright images in low light conditions.
Vivo X80 Pro comes equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68 rating which makes it dust and water-resistant. The smartphone houses a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging support.
What are the specifications of Vivo X80
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, the smartphone sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1800×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone packs up to 12GB of RAM and comes in three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
Vivo X80 runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of customisation. The smartphone features a triple rear camera which consists of a 50MP main camera with the first Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle and a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait camera. There’s also a 32MP front camera for selfie lovers.
Vivo X80 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
