Veteran actress Rekha has been one of the most talented and gorgeous divas of all time in the industry. Even at 68, she can give younger actresses a good run for their money. But it seems like Rekha is enamoured by Alia Bhatt‘s talent and beauty as she was seen dedicating her precious Dadasaheb Phalke award to the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress at an award function.
In a promo shared by a TV channel, Rekha and Alia can be seen sharing the stage together. The two were looking mesmerising in their sari looks. As Rekha got bestowed by the coveted award, she was seen showering praises on Alia.

While doing so, Rekha dedicated her award to Alia and went on to call her a future legend. “I dedicate my award today to the future legends of our country and she is the beginning of that,” Rekha said on stage. Listening to this, Alia got overwhelmed and made a ‘turrrrrr’ while enacting as if she collapsing on the ground in disbelief.

During the ceremony, Rekha was honored for her ‘Outstanding Contribution To The Film Industry’ while Alia received the Best Actress award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia bowed down to Rekha with folded hands before receiving the award from Rekha.

On the work front, Alia will be next seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and her Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot.
