Sanya Malhotra is currently basking in glory of all the love and appreciation coming her way thanks to her performance in the OTT release Kathal. But there is something even more special lined up for her.
There was constant speculation around her involvement in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan – a question that was asked of her throughout the promotions of Kathal. Now ETimes has the answer. Sanya confirms the news and says, “I’m very proud to announce that I’m part of the film.” Adding more she states, “I still can’t believe that I’m working in a film with Shah Rukh Khan. I think I will have to watch the film to believe it. And working with SRK has been like a dream come true.” In just 8 years, Sanya has gone from playing Aamir Khan’s daughter in Dangal to being part of a big-ticket release like Jawan.
ETimes asked Sanya if she had any scenes with SRK in the film. While she doesn’t give a verbal confirmation, she does flaunt an expression that only meant ‘Yes!’.
While she does confirm that she is part of Jawan, she also denies that she is part of Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Tiptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Sanya says, “The only Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam I know is the Shah Rukh Khan song (laughs).”
